I have a motherboard and components from a Vaio PCG-FX series laptop that I was hoping I could salvage for SOMETHING. I'm hoping somebody here will have the information I need to make this thing work...

The problem I'm running into is the board will not boot if it doesn't have the PWS-14 board (small board that connects the battery connectors to the mobo) attached. While this isn't really a big deal, it is an awkward piece that sticks out from the mobo adding a LOT of dead space (about 28 sqin) and is very unnecessary as I won't be using the batteries with it.

My question is, does anyone know if there is a way to short out the connector so it doesn't look for the batteries?
