    Digitizer vs touchscreen

    Hey guys,

    First post here...am planning an install and am stuck between a touchscreen tablet pc and a standard laptop hooked up to a 7" touchscreen.

    Whats the difference between digitizer and touchscreen? If it's a digitizer can't I use my finger?

    Kelly, if it's digitizer, a finger would not work. A "touch-screen" Tablet PC will let you use your finger, but a "digitizer" will require a special stylus. Some Tablet PCs are capable of both, touch & digitizer. I have an HP tx2000 which accepts both types of input.
