When I was looking to extend my laptop style CD/DVD cable I went directly to the connector manufacturer JAI and asked for samples, they sent me three of each (male and female) give them a shot, you never know till you ask...
So I bought a tablet PC, the Motion Computing LE1700, a dock with VGA, 3 USB ports, Audio and network ports. I'd like to be able to build a cable between the Tablet and the dock, so that I can hide the dock elsewhere.
I'm looking, but I can't find this anywhere. Do you know what kind of connector is this? Aparently there are 49 contact points (24/25), or if each side is a different connector, (48/50 top) 98 contacts total.
One picture is the connector on the dock, the other is the one on the computer.
I'm not sure this is doable, I'd like to find something like this:
Or this:
So that I could build my own extension. I've found this manufacturer of connector for docking stations/motherboards:

But I'm not even sure what to look for. The Motion Computing dock connector seems to be much simpler than most there.

I called Motion Computing, they don't have it. It's custom made for them, and probably only the guys at the factory have them. Tech support couldn't tell me about the manufacturer either.
