Patience... I was finally able to order a 32gb model from HP. Kept crashing all morning... persistance paid off.

Even as is it makes a nice portable web browser/e-reader. I plan on doing an android port at some point. My bet is with this many devices flooding the streets, webos will not die. Think about it...

I just got 2 16gb units from pcmall.

Took about 25 minutes of clicking the "try again" button due to the "problem loading page" error.

    Patience, you will get through.

I've bought 2 of them at BarnesandNoble.com for $227.77 USD with shipping fees to Georgia.

WebOS is borderline useless unfortunately. There are some developers working to port Android to the Touchpad.

Yet others will tell you webOS is the second coming of Christ. I have read so many differing opinions over the weekend.

Just to let you guys here know what kind of sale this brought on. I work for one (1) website that sold them at that price. In 1 1/2 days, we sold over 10,000 of the tablets. I've seen some news that people are trying to get android OS ported over to work with these.

10,000 tablets in 1 1/2 days, and we are just 1 of the places carrying them. I can't imagine how many total between us and other places. Good luck getting your tablets if you ordered one, we are having soooo many stock issues right now.

Well they have disappeared off the HP UK site now.

Well you can find them if you do a search for tablet PC, but clicking on the buy button (price still marked up at over 300) it takes you to your cart with item not found.

So I guess they are pulling them from the UK and going to send them to the US to fulfill stock orders over there.

I wonder why everybody is having stock issues. I thought orders where processed by computers, they're usually good at that stuff. You know, you have 10K, you sell 10K, not 12K. In the computer world there's no simultaneous events unless you want to (you can time stamp something to the millisec or more), or "don't care", that is, badly designed software.

I ordered two more, from OnSale and Barnes & Noble, even HP is having "stock" issues - don't they use bar code and lot control? I would think HP at least would control stock via SAP, but it seems it's done by web designers...? What is it left to check, unless we're talking about tablets straight from the oven in China, you should know how much you have in stock. WTF?!

    /rant.

I bought four, I'm beginning to think I'm getting none...LOL.
