HP Touchpad on sale for $99.00

Our orders are received by computers but that doesn't guarantee an item. We go through a manual process of verifying information and charging cards. It's on a first come, first serve basis. We [bold]choose[/bold] to do this to cut down on our fraud orders.

However, we go through 5 different distributors instead of HP directly. Each one has different costs and stocks. They each also deal with many other companies/resellers as well as us. I can say that the 16/32 gb units, combined together, might have had over 20k units together. But remember, that is distributed between us and whoever else deals with those distributors. We also hear HP has more stock.

I will agree that the process is on the dumb side, as it very well could be automated. Of course, I'm not in the sales/processing staff so I don't know much more than what I just said.

FYI: Rippling, we might be getting some 64gb units around the $200 price tag if that interests you... I'll keep you updated if I hear anything more!

Popped into a Best Buy in the UK, they have them , or at least a display one, but price was £300+.

I just got done overclocking mine to 1.7 g ....a nice noticeable speed!

Luck had it, I just got the very last one in my local Wallmart last sat.

It will work just the same it did last week before the hype. I can't predict the future, but this move just might have saved webOS. Now, they won't be with HP, but someone else might pick up where HP failed. Just my opinion.

Did you try Skype with OC? I've seen reports that skype won't work if you overclock...makes no sense, but...

No, I don't have/use Skype just yet, but I plan on getting that service eventually in the near future though. I don't know about it not working after OC, news to me.
