Xenarc and Laptop

I know someone who is selling the xenarc touchscreen. He doesnt have the car pc though. Can I use my laptop or do you have to have a graphics card that supports the xenarc screen resolution? Thanks for the input

My EPIA VIA M10000 board doesn't really support 800x480 (I might just be too lazy to find a driver that does) and it works fine.

it'll run on a laptop..., even if it runs 800X600... it'll work...

I know, that is why I posted it. No need to thank me. Your question was, how shall I put it, answered about a million times here.

Next time, search before you post. That will cut down on the "smart" comments, as you put it.

I have to agree with mike777 here, this seems to be a growing problem of no one being able to ask any questions for fear of being flamed by anyone who seems to be in a bad mood that day. Honestly, who cares if it is somewhere on the board? If no one is allowed to post, then why is this board here? What is its purpose? And where does the information come from? A few? No. It comes from constant additions, "QUESTIONS", and answers. Just because this board is huge, does not mean we become lax and just tell poeple to search. That is almost lazy IMHO. Get up off your comfy computer chairs and help people out. That is why this board and others like it exist. Right?

First, I am not in a bad mood today. I am in the same mood everyday.

This board is here to help people with carputers and carputing, NOT TO ANSWER THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN because someone is too lazy, or dumb, to find the answer himself. THe information comes from everyone, though that isn't relevant to asking the same questions over and over again. You are correct, ADDITIONS help the bored. Repition does not. Asking, and answering the same questions over and over again only adds clutter, not information. My answers ARE helpfull. You sounds like a spoiled child. When you walk into the library, and ask for a book on pig vomit, you don't walk up to the librarian and say, tell me what pig vomit is. You look through the card catalog, then read the book. That is what this forum is. A big card catalog, with the books right here. You find what you need, and then you read the information.

That is what this board is, a repository of information, NOT TECHNICAL SUPPORT.

You can direct him to search, maybe give directions on what to search for.. or you can give him a smart *** answer that helps no one.
