can i rig a dc-dc powersupply to my laptop?

i have a dell notebook i was thinking about mounting in the trunk instead of building an itx system. would i be able to connect a dc-dc power supply to it so i would be able to direct wire it to my vehicle?

As Red has said in your other thread, use the search function. You can't escape it. You can start all the threads you want, but we are anti-spoonfeeder around here.

    Short answer: yes.

You definately need to read the FAQ's. That is a DC-DC PSU, but is an ATX standard. Sort of retarded for a laptop that wasn't built in the 1980's with a crt tube in it.

And yes it can power your monitor...

jesus.. god forbid someone comes on here trying to get some goddamn help without having to read through 12,000 pages of stickies and faq

matter of fact, why dont you guys just take down the forums and just leave all the FAQs since every question has already been answered, and while youre at it, come to my house and pry the ? key off my keyboard. thanks for nothing.
