    LCD case question

So I bought this system off a person here on this board and it comes with a 6.4" LCD, 300nit (cd/m^2)

The questions is... I found out that it does not have case. Where can I find cases for bare monitors? I do not want to mount this into a headrest nor dash. I plan to mount the monitor to a ram mount pivot arm so I'll want to finish off the outer portion of the monitor with a case.

I'm not to interested in building my own case but if I have to suggestions on where to get the parts required would also be nice.

    Thanks,
    Greg

People like Maplin & Farnell sell project boxes, you might find one that's the correct size if your lucky. That's all I can think of I'm affraid.
And you say people actually pay money for M$ Windows?

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

    Rob,
Thanks! I'll check them out. I'm reading your website now about PSU's. This is the biggest void right now in my project.

What are the dimensions? I bought a Radio Shack project box that fit my dennis K screen (8.4") and microtouch controller, inverter and TFT to VGA controller perfectly....here's the part number:
    91-1139

I'll post pics in a couple of minutes...

I've had lots of questions as to how I put this stuff in the enclosure so I thought I'd post a few more pics..

I cut the threaded parts off of the plastic standoffs and filed down 4 brass ones and set them in (with epoxy) the various locations necessary for the proper mounting of the components.

The Dennis K screen came with plastic threaded 'nuts' that I epoxied into place on the underside of the top of the enclosure to properly mount the screen.

I have a 6.4 with touch screen. Still looking for a case for it....

Does anyone else have any other options.. Tried Maplin and Farnell but I couldn't find the website address.
