have there been any updates on this situation in the past month? I just got my system in and while i can tolerate 800x600 it would be nice to not have the video stretched goofy.

Actually yes, I got a beta firmware from them however I can't get the stupid USB stick to be recognized as a bootable disk.

I had it recognized once but I forgot to turn off the firmware protection. Right now I'm a bit busy with another car but once I finish I will look at it again.

PM me your email if you want the firmware forwarded.

Thanks to Ewout_vB I got in touch with a man from jetway that gave him that beta BIOS. I also got a '800x480 beta BIOS' for my mobo (J7F2 series).

Unfortunately all I can get with that is one new mode: 852x480 - even with '08' panel type settings in BIOS. The other thing is BIOS panel type setting stays now after rebooting, entering windows etc.

So still no progress, but I must admit that - in my case - 852x480 is much better for text than 800x600.

I am still in touch with jetway, we'll see what more they can do about it.

I would like to try the beta bios also. Is there a contact you can share, or can you pass on the Bios. Thanks!

    Talking It IS WORKING!

I just got a new BIOS revision for J7F2 Jetway mobo's series. And IT IS WORKING!!!

    Once more:

800x480 on Jetway J7F2 series is working

All you need is flash your BIOS. I didn't have much time for testing today, but with '08' panel setting in BIOS, after BIOS flushing - 800x480 is available under 'list all modes' in windows. My lilly still recognize it as 640x480, but you can clearly see the image is 800x480.

If anybody wants to give it a try - PM me and I'll send you that BIOS. If you have other Jetway motherboard you must contact Jetway support - they probably have it done for all of their mobos since they where just waiting for VIA - it's mainly a VGA BIOS update only.

Under the AGP timings menu in the BIOS for the J7F4 the option for the display dissapeared o.O
