Thread: xenarc touch screen disconnects all the time

This problem has been driving me nuts for a little while so I thought I would see if any of you have some input or have experienced the same. I have a Xenarc 7" touch screen and after about 15 minutes of driving, the computer drops the touchscreen. Monitor is good, but the touchscreen just stops working. I turn the monitor off, then back on, you hear the computer pick up the USB connection, and it works again. I thought it was the cable combined with the rough ride of my truck, so I switched it up, no change. Thought it may have been a bad USB connection on the cpu so I swapped the GPS and the touchscreen, same thing. The strange thing is that when the monitor stops working, you don't get the sound effect from windows when you disconnect a USB connection until I actually turn off the monitor.

Sounds to me like the monitor is to blame, but I don't know what to do about it. Any input or suggestions are welcome.
