just paint your door switch bezels to match the center portion of your dash. or something of that sort. or paint them same color as the car.
Do you regret it? Can you no longer remove the screen without breaking the bondo? Does the painted bezel look out of place now? This will be on a 2005 Civic so answers from people with similar cars preferred but all welcome! I'm wondering how it would look with a glossy black portion of my dash and then the normal plastic everywhere else.

the '05 civic interior is similar to the '03 right? You dont need to use bondo at all. the 7inch touchscreen can be mounted in the double din space perfectly and you dont have to really do anything special to make it work. You just need the trim which you can easily get, and you need to cut your monitor bezel.

I did all that, I just can't find a good way to mount the bezel in there. I tried using sticky velcro and it still sticks out in some places. I tried double sided tape but couldn't find any good places to put it. Plus it only stayed sticky for about 5 seconds, the slipped off. I tried a bunch of things, I want to just mould it in so it stops ****ing me off.

alternatively, if the process is done right and not half-assed as it so frequently is, you won't have any problems with durability or color matching.

Ill tell you the tape to get. Its 3M indestrial adhesive tape. You can get it from a hardware store. Its double sided and it sticks like a mutha****er!! It has a RED backing on it so you cant miss it. The color of the tape itself is grey. This stuff works. I just used small pieces of it. But wait, can you post a pic of what you mean. I may not understand fully where you are having the problem. Is it with the monitor staying in place? or the trim piece staying in place?

I think what GoHybrid is trying to say in somewhat subtle fashion, is don't use Bondo. Make use of some of the bumper repair materials made by SEM or 3M. They'll provide you with a nice solid hold that will flex with the rest of the dash, and will not crack or come apart.

I'm talking about the bottom left corner here. Here it's fine because it's right after I put the tape on. But that corner sticks out and when I push on it, the top right corner pops out. Well it doesn't now because the velcro holds, but when I let go of it it just pops out again. I thought about putting Krazy Glue in strategic places like spot welds so it would hold but easily break when I want to pop the bezel out again at some point.
If you look in this picture, there really isn't anywhere to put an adhesive. The flat parts right inside are too far down, the bezel doesn't reach that far in. Then there's the inclined parts which are useless. My only hope is the little lips around the edges that you used but that creates padding so the bezel sits higher and is no longer flush with the dash. Man, I'm stumped.
