Post unsharpened picture with camos lcd

    hi all!

i just have bought an lcd module from camos! its 5,6" small! here are more details to the lcd module: http://www.camos.co.kr/show07_3.html

its works with an elsa victory erazor card with 4 mb. but i dont get a sharp picture on it. what could that be? it also dont fill the full screen out. on the left and on the right there is some space left.

is there any software to get the picture sharp ??

hope you can help me.. else i must buy another lcd module

That's the price you pay for using NTSC/PAL mate. The image will always look like that. The monitor lacks the resolution to do a sharper picture. Sorry.

You might want to ask Felix99. He's in your neck of the world and might have more information for you.

Unfortuantly, VGA is EXPENSIVE. We just did a group buy with all the members paying around $500 for a touchscreen 7" VGA LCD. We thought that was a good deal. Check out www.spysupply007.com. All prices will be in USD rather than Marks though.

    No..
    not german..
living only 10-15kms from the border so speak and write some German..
but tft... touch... you want it all.. don't you.. (hell.. who doesn't.. )
but.. hmm.. trying to find a cheap tft lcd with touch in Europe is basically the same as finding water in a dessert.
    However..
there are some places to check out..
one off them is Datalux.. (do a search on the forum for the url.. I don't have it with me...)
another option is to contact DennisK, he is a member of this board, and he has a lead to 8,4' tft with touchscreen.. However.. this type of setup is going cost you $300 minimal..
There's also a group-buy going on for the Xenarc 7' VGA widescreen... but again.. you'll have to pay something like $450-$500 for the touchscreen version.

The tft-display (screen) is not the problem.. ebay is full of it.. and if you look around.. you will see people have some old laptops lying around with decent screens.. However these screens cannot be <directly> connected to the computers VGA-port..
And this is the tricky part..
Flat-panels require some digital signal in order to display you something.. ComputerVGA output is only analogue, so you need an controller board which will 'convert' your analogue to digital, or a board that has it all.. and you don't need a conventional graphics card..
But these things cost about $200 !! (the most expensive part)

If you wanna do it yourself.. you can get touchscreen overlays with serial controllers on the internet for apr. $100

you might wanna check out BCheese thread on the 8.4's displays.. he has a complete package of display, controller, touchscreen+ controller for $325
still a steep price, but it would be 'plug and play'

hope this helps you out !

    auf wiedersehen..
