Thread: 800x600 display too small

640x480 works nicely on my 701.

if 640x480 is not listed in your settings options, go to

display properties > Settings> Advanced> Adapter> List All Modes


Then select 640x480, True Color (32bit). Make sure you select the correct Hertz or your screen will go blank on you. For me 60 Hertz works fine.

This will make your windows a lot easier to read. However, if you are running any software that won't fit a 640x480 window, you can use a program called rezchanger that will allow it to change the screensize when you launch the software, and return to the previous screen size when you close it.. Similar to what road runner does..

the above method works as well, however I still find things to be too small.

THe problem with changing the actual resolution that way is that everything becomes big.

So for instance S&T2006 wont display correctly on anything less than 800x600.

That's why I recommended using a software called rezchanger. It will customize your screen settings to the appropriate size for applications that do not work in 640x480.
