    vfd question

    Just got a 20x4 futaba vfd, and I don't think it works
    Can somebody tell me if it's supossed to light up when power is applied? Lcdprint works?
    The connector is 16 pin, and I have it hooked up like on this page.
    It has a black spot on the glass above the anode, bottom right corner. Bad?

    I got a futaba 20x4 too. Mine has a black spot in the corner too, works just fine, it's not a problem.

    I just picked up a Futaba 20x4 off of ebay, but I can't find the pin-outs for this sucker anywhere. It's a 2x8 pin interface, so I didn't want to guesstimate using the 2x7 format.

    Can any of you guys help?
