Nec 5,5 Screen?
Hi all.
I've got this nice NTSC/PAL 5,5 lcd, which have input for comp video. But I've found out that there's a circuit board inside, that converts the video signal back to R/G/B and Horisontal and vertical sync. I was thinking of connecting the VGA signal directly to the screen instead, do any of you think this is possible ?
I would ofcourse se to, that the refresh rates coresponded to the TV standards. Could it be fatal for the screen if the refresh, was'nt the TV standard ?
Hope that this make sense to somebody.

Maximum Bitrate
ALL monitors need RGB and H and V sync to operate, regardless of whether it is a $99 special at Kmart to the latest HDTV. But in your case their is still the issue of interlacing. Even if you set the video card out to "match" (something I have little experience with, admittedly) PAL or NTSC, your computer would still be outputting a progressive signal, while the monitor would need an interlaced signal.
So is it possible? Sure, but it may not be feasible.
