Question Lilliput 619GL-70NP/C/T Touchscreen not working!?

    Hi,

I have a Lilliput 619-70NP/C/T which I bought yesterday, it works and displays an image off of it when a vga cable is plugged in however the touchscreen does not work at all, I have tried it on three seperate computers and nothing makes it work? Could it be faulty or am I doing something wrong. There also seems as is the picture it shows although it looks correct and good quality is grainy? Is that normal?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Joe

I just got the 701 model and have the same issue
fresh install of win XP, installed original driver disk and nothing, idownloaded latest driver from http://www.eeti.com.tw/web20/eg/drivers.htm#xp and installed it, touchscreen seems to work for first 5 seconds of windows then dies

I might try a quick format and install the latest drivers fresh on windows without the old drivers...... its kinda frustrating, have searched the forums for hours and cannot find a straight answer for this problem

Can anyone help....surely someone else must have had this problem. Im thinking of installing vista and seeing if the vista drivers work any better.

Anyone tried running vista with a Lilliput touchscreen????

    FIXED IT!!!!!!!!

After about 20 billion hours of trolling through old threads someone (sorry I cant remember who exactly) picked it like a dirty nose.
I had been having the problem as described above. I tried disabling the power thingy in the USB option so windows couldn't shut the power to the USB ports down, etc to no avail.

I even installed Vista Ultimate with some recommended drivers and that seemed to make the touch screen work for around 5 minutes at a time then I would need a reboot to make it work again.

Removed Vista and then put XP pro SP2 back in again and noticed someone mentioned that they were having the same problem and it was a motherboard / USB power issue. I decided to get a 4 port USB2 PCI card I had lying around and see if the touch screen is indeed really that sensitive and to see what would happen when the USB ports are powered from the PCI port. With XP pro back in (fresh install) and latest drivers I plugged the lilliput indash screen into the PCI card, recognised it and voila.....it works!!!!!!
tested it for around 30 minutes and there was no issues with it, extremely happy with it.

The reason i went back to XP from vista was not only cause the touchscreen was half working but vista for some reason could not connect to my wireless network and the touch screen when it was working was extremely choppy and none of the calibrations would work.

Hope that helps some people out there with lower-end/cheaper motherboards like myself

CONNECT THE TOUCHSCREEN TO A PCI POWERED USB CARD/PORT
