    Thanks for the info!

Is anyone running this screen off a notebook? If so, what settings and where are you making to make this functional as a carputer interface? It you have some screen shots that would be perfect!!

I'm running the 8" one right now from my camper van using my old iBook Mac on 10.3 connected up with the vga cable. It works fine although I still don't have the touch screen working properly or all the cables hidden away yet.

I don't have my camera with me but I'll post a photo as soon as I can.

Although the 10.4 inch monitor is truly overkill for me, I'm considering getting it due to the great price. That and the motto of "Go big or go home."

Any suggestions on how to mount one of these behemoths? I was thinking of using an open DIN and tacking it on there somehow.
    Any ideas count.

The A/V cable...is it 2 inputs or is it 1 input and a TV antenna? Anyone figure it out? Reading the manual hurts my head
It's 1 input plus another power plug on my 8" (AV1) I have no idea if there is an AV2 input. I can't find one but the screen says VGA, AV1, AV2 when you scroll through them.

    Offspring,

How about a hinged mount from the ceiling?
Truck PC about 90% done.....Most of the work lies in mounting the LCD (as usual).

Just an update. I finally received my screens 31 days after placing the order. ...Oh, and they shipped it to the wrong address. I would have had to wait longer if I hadn't flagged it on ups.com to email me with updates, it probably would have been shipped back.

I called UPS -who has awesome customer service by the way -and scheduled a pickup of the pkg. after the delivery guy got back to the shipping center.

I've done a temporary install of one of the screens in my Tahoe, and so far it seems like a great screen. once I figured out how to get that annoying button off the screen... which I can't figure out what it does anyway. Hint, don't try to find it in the actual software console, just right click icon in the task bar and you'll see it..

Anyway it came with a usb cable, VGA cable, and a cable for TV and RCA inputs, a stylus, mounting bracket, and software install cd.

I haven't opened the other screen because it's just too large for the Civic I just bought. I'll probably sell it and buy a 7-8" screen... So if anybody is interested, I guess PM me an offer. It has not even been opened. Or maybe I'll sell it on ebay...

All told the screens are great for the money. Hell even if they cost more it would still be a good deal. If you are considering buying one, I would recommend it. But if you buy from gooddeals18, don't expect reasonable shipping times or good customer service via e-mail. Just call, and even then don't expect too much.

Glad to hear you finally got those screens. I'm considering buying one (maybe from you? ), but unsure of how I would mount it. I'm thinking I might even just end up using some 3M industrial velcro and sticking it to the center console. What is the mounting bracket that it comes with? Is it just the desk stand?
