for the 8 inch model, it says "maximum resolution" is 1024x768 but i'm assuming it's native res is obviously 800x600 right?

I would have thought so too, but when I turned it on and hit the menu key, it said 1024x768 and I couldn't change from the menu options. I'm still working on the install as we speak, so maybe I can tell more after I'm done.

Well I have read the whole thread twice now and it doesn't look like anyone posted the overall dimensions of the 8". Would be very helpfull to see if it will fit below my 2000 Maxima's climate controls.
