btw. I'm running xp and the screen i got is the 10.4" one.
i have only loaded the basics just yet not all the stuff for the front end. It's basically a fresh load of xp with updates and avg pro antivirus on it. really not much else.
I've been having a problem installing the drivers for the touchscreen. It locked up on my twice after installation when it was shutting down. It would just say windows is shutting down. Left it for a good 3 hours with not luck. When i start the computer back up and try and run the calibration it just locks up mid way through the test. i am able to get out of the calibration test without any trouble but no luck with the touchscreen. is there posibly something i need to turn on in the computer?

not sure if I can be of much help on the drivers install as mine went smoothly. For me it was on a fresh install of XP with all my basic drivers installed video/lan/ect no windows updates or antivirus software. Personally I have never run antivirus software of any kind as it has only caused me issues. If you read back in this thread I believe there were others having problems with the drivers and they posted their solutions. Some procured other drivers from different touch screen manufactures that worked with sucess and there were some others that made sure the monitor was unplugged when the directions say for it to be plugged in.

anyone else having any problems with the touch screen working correctly after coming out of hibernation? I've got the drivers installed that were posted earlier in the thread. When I shut down and do a full boot up, everything works fine (except for the flash I'm experiencing, but that's a whole other topic), but when I go to hibernate and then come back out, it's like the calibration is lost.
Beware, I ordered an 8 inch from Gooddeals18, and they sent me a 10.4 instead. I notified them of the problem and they sent me a return shipping slip. Thats the good part. Now, I haven't recieved my 8 inch that I ordered in the first place. I shipped it back on Jan 15th. I contacted gooddeals18 2 days ago to find out the status. They asked for order numbers. I replied with the recipt, and I haven't heard back. I hate to trash anyone, but I ordered the original screen Jan 2 and now it is End of Feb and nothing.
Beware, keep all receipts and contacts, you may need them.
I won't be ordering from them again.
good luck
