yes when you remove the case, what's pictured is what you get.

which connectors are you talking about - the ones for the backlight (pictured) or the inputs for VGA, power ect? If you're talking about the backlight ones, you can't do anything about that. As for the other connections, they are on a seperate board and you can mount them anywhere you want (I mounted mine on the bottom).

I'm guessing he is talking about the buttons that are on the side of the monitor. The picture looks to be of the 10.4" screen which has the connectors (USB/VGA/ect) on the bottom and the buttons on the side. Unless he is asking about getting the connectors from the side (on an 8" model) and moving them to the bottom.

I would think you would be able to move them however you would need to fastion some sort of a case or modify the existing one to hold them in position and such. I have yet to rip down my screen so I am not exactly sure on how easy or how hard or even how possible it may be to accomplish such a feat.

    Sorry for my bad english
    Here this is my dash:

I want to build the screen in my dashboard with polyester.

you shouldn't have any problems mounting them on the bottom.

Heres how I did mine: 2003 Tahoe Install

    I bought this screen
I detached the frame, and I want to fabricate the screen in my dashboard.

    I have 3 questions.

    Question 1
If you mount ONLY the screen (without the frame) in your dashboard,
and you want to control it by the remote control,
I suppose that you must also mount this "reciever" with al the buttons somewhere

    Am I right??
If so.. I dont want the whole thing included all the buttons.
I only want the IR reciever.
How do other people do this trick?

    Question 2
Is it normal that this blue wire is not attached to the bracket?

    Question 3

Where do you mount this brackets ?
I dont want to use this HUGE frame...

^^ If you have specific questions or require specific advice on an install, you should look in and/or start a thread in the Fabrication forum. Just because this thread is about this particular screen doesn't mean its an appropriate place to be discussing installation questions (that is, if you want people to chime in). That aside, to quickly touch on your questions:

    1.
The IR reciever (the 3-pin part you circled on the button board) is often cut, extended away from the board with wires, and hidden somewhere in direct line of sight to the remote control (like in a vent or mounted in its own hole in the dash). This way you don't need to mount the whole board somewhere it can get an IR signal.

    2.
I'm not sure what the blue wire is, but it looks like it doesn't connect to anything from your pic. If it doesn't, and everything works on the LCD, I'd leave it alone.

    3.
Mounting the electronics of an LCD when doing a custom-fabbed install into the dash requires a bit of imagination. The only requirements are that the boards are mounted solidly, the electrical connections are all made as they are in the case of the monitor, and the boards' conductive surfaces and components are electrically insulated from one another and other conductive materials. Many people mount the boards to a piece of plastic or wood and mount that somewhere behind the dash, some find a way to sandwich the boards all together to the back of the LCD, etc. Look around in the Fabrication forum for ideas on how others have done it and adapt a procedure to fit your own needs.

I just got this LCD and everything works except for the sound. I used a stereo cable and connected my pc audio out to the LCD but couldn't hear anything. I'm pretty sure my soundcard is working. Is there even a speaker? Any had this problem?
