The wires from the lamp are not connected to the lamp anymore when removing the case.
The cable connection is really sucks

Is it possible to solder the 2 wires to the lamps ??
I'm scared that the heat of the solder will broke the lamp?
Please reply me .. thank you very much!

to answer your question i would have to know exactly where the break is? Mine connections broke near the board so it wasn't so hard to fix, although sodering wires that small take steadier hands than mine, you shouldn't have any problems with the lamps themselves i wouldn't think because it is the heating of the gas inside the neon tube with the electric current that creates the light.....that is what i think anyway.

no worries on the soldering, that's how they were connected in the first place.

You need to remove the entire metal frame (carefully) Then you'll have access to the 2 lamps. )about a dozen very small screws. Use a flatblade jewelers screwdriver. Don't try a phillips, the screw heads are too flat for that to work.

I used a razor blade and carefully removed the black heatshrink from both sets of wires, so that I could slide the flexible boot up an inch or so up each wire.

Once the boot is slid up, just strip back the smallest amount of wire you can (I did about 1/16" inch. Using your soldering pencil, tin the wire. Once tinned, it easily solders to the metal pin sticking out of the bulb. Make sure you don't 'cross wires' so that each pair of wires, ends up going to a single bulb. Then slide your boot back down, and reassemble.

Did you install the touchscreen drivers correctly, if not, download and install the latest touchkit drivers from

    http://www.touchkit.com/Drivers.htm

Once installed, do the calibration and you should be good to go.

something seems to be wrong with the setup file on the cd they sent. i click "xp/vista/all in one" or whatever it says, and then it asks me to save a setup file, i save, try and open, and it gives an error about corrupted. i knew thats why its not working, thanks for the quick reply and the link, let me try and get these drivers from that site.

how do you calibrate it? this is my first touchscreen VGA monitor (other than an actual touchscreen indash for a car but that didnt involve a PC connected to it)

Once the correct drivers are installed and the TouchMonitor utility running, right click on the TouchKit icon on the taskbar and select Calibration Utility or 4 Point Calibration.

It should guide you from there on.
