wait what wires? i hope i dont have a problem with mine! how long before you noticed yours overheating?
I'm noticing that a handful of you are having trouble with the lamp wires... I wonder if this was why I had overheating issues? I never broke the seal on mine (obviously not since it was problematic to begin with) so I know I didn't screw anything up... but I guess there's a chance if those wires were dinky enough that the bumpy -- unpadded-- shipment could have crossed/shorted something? Either way, it's on its way back to them. Should be there Monday (hopefully they will make it a quick and painless exchange!)

see my picture a few pages back..
blue and orange / pink wire
pimped, this was the first time i used it.. it wasn't a gradual thing, it was right out of the box. i think i just had an unlucky one because i haven't seen anyone else mention the issue. i had just noticed that apparently when you open the casing, the wires are fragile and i hypothesized that maybe mine got bumped around too much in transport. i doubt you have anything to worry about, but i wouldn't be rough with it.
Well apparently this 10.4" is a very sensitive monitor.
I unplugged the VGA while the car was running and the PC was running and plugged it back in and it somehow fried the controller board ??????
Any other LCD plugged in works fine but the 10.4" won't work.
Had to order another one.
Ruined my weekend.
well sounds like you guys are all having problems.....so i'll add mine too. Just installed this panel and the touchscreen works but it won't calibrate correctly. I can touch the center fine but around the frame it won't register my touch correctly....it's like the cursor is an inch to high or low, especially in the center of all sides.... anyone have a clue what's happening?
The only thing i can come up with is maybe the frame is touching the touch screen and throwing it off.
Oh that one is an easy fix.
When you do the 4 point calibration simply touch the x's a little tpwards the middle of the screen.
So on the bottom left x you will touch it a little higher than the x and to the right a bit, on the lower right x touch it a little higher than the x and to the left a bit.
On the top right touch the x a little lower and to the left, and on the top left touch the x a little lower and to the right.
This will make it where you can touch all the way to all 4 edges easily.
im having a hard time prying mine apart, i got all the screws out, i just dont want to break anything thats why im having a hard time.
incidentally, UPS *attempted* to deliver my RMA'd screen to gooddeals this morning but Quantum view stated the attempt failed because the recipient was "On a holiday"...? Am I missing something obvious or do they not like to work on Mondays?
Hopefully this isn't the start of an arduous exchange process..?
No their website said orders wouldn't be shipped until Wednesday because they are on vacation.
