Thread: GREAT DEAL: 10.4" Touchscreen - Samsung LCD $215!

I ordered from them and they are legit. i got a 8 " no problems yet .

I have to RMA my screen as well. The LCD panel was not connected to the bezel at all one side so it was bent inwards AND the USB controller suddenly stopped working. I was setting it up before I realized there was a bend in the panel and it was going fine until it suddenly disappeared from my USB devices list. It refused to show up on ANY computer after that.

Bah, hopefully the RMA system is easy and doesn't have me paying customs again.

Well.. my RMA just got back today and lo and behold.... the thing RATTLES. It sounds like there's a loose nut or two just floating around in there. I am nothing short of outraged and yet I half way am not surprised. The only reason I committed to something that seemed so shady was that (most) everyone in this thread seemed to have enough luck with them. Well, as MY luck would have it, this is 0 for 2...

Does anybody who's taken these apart have an idea what might be rattling? Is it not a big deal? As much as I would love to hear that I can crack it open and fix it and avoid paying 10 more dollars to ship it back out to wait another two weeks to get a new one, I still can't help but feel like this is unacceptable and I don't even want to bother with it (plus, knowing my "luck" I'd open it up to find that it's beyond repair and I've just voided my warranty...... )

I'm debating a full refund. Any other 10.4s out there worth a #!*@? Is the Lilliput worth the extra $80?

I'm about to RMA my screen, I've messaged you asking for all the information if you could provide it.

I got one of each, 10.4" and 8.4" with no problems whatsoever. No rattles, heat issues, touch screen issues, nothing, it was a perfect monitor all around. I'm actually amazed at all this problems I see in this thread.

I'll probably put my 8.4" up for sale, just because I have too many monitors on my bench all of a sudden and have no need for the 8.4" since I'm going with a 7" in my new install. Got the box, accessories, etc...anybody want it before I put it up on e-bay?

does anyone have the dimensions for the 8" and 10" lcd? in terms of L x W x D including the casing?

Anyone have the information for an RMA? I am trying to RMA my screen but I've never done this before so I need the actual UPS information (I suppose account number) so I don't have to pay to send it to them...

Well, as unlucky as I am to get two bum models in a row, I am more than pleased with the customer service. They said they just want to make sure I'm happy and would offer a discount to keep my current (rattly) one or return it for my money back. He also said that my warranty wouldn't be voided if I opened it up to investigate the problem so maybe it's nothing major. Either way, I feel much better about the whole ordeal. They definitely want to keep their customers satisfied, I'll give them that much!
