From what I remember. The black cable from the Lcd will have a white dot on the end connector that attaches to the controller board. That will match up with the spot on the controller board connector that has a two lines on it.

The white connector is turned the right way but it needs to be moved one pin to the left if I remember correctly.

It doesn't matter if you plug it in wrong. If you move it one pin to the left it should then either be recognized as a USB device or not. The white connector is just five pins that have five traces on the controllers pcb that go straight to the USB connector at the bottom of the board. I had mine plugged in wrong and no Usb device was found. Moved it one pin to the left and it was found

Here's an offer if anyone wants it.

I have a 3 foot long extended button cable with the hacked off buttons from a 10.4".

If anyone wants it they can have it for the price of shipping.

Hey I've got a small problem, and I hate to say it but I was directed by Tina to ask here first... I got my 8 inch version and I like it, but there's one teeny problem. there was no driver CD, I was just curious if anyone would be so kind as to zip up either the CD or just the drivers and programs for XP that I'd need. otherwise I will ask for the CD... I kinda wish I had seen this thread before I bought it, but eh, what can you do?

anyways I'm sorry to be new and asking for things, but... TIA.

    Mike.
