Does anyone know how durable or how much abuse the touch screen can take before crapping out?
Man, GoodDeals18 is really quite a pain in the *** to deal with. I setup an RMA and sent my screen in; they received it May 14th. I've been trying to contact them and the only response I got was "Oh, we don't seem to have that..." and they've been ignoring all of my other messages.
This is beyond ridiculous.

@huyvu90-
I don't know if i'm just assuming something but i've read this whole thread...over the course of a few hours (whew). I don't recall seeing anyone post that the monitor failed after being used for a while, and the thread goes back to last year so some folks have had these for a while. It seems if people have had problems with them they seem to have occured right out of the box, or after / during opening up the case for mounting.
I'm going to bite the bullet and order one of the 8 inchers, hope i don't regret this decision. I'll keep my fingers crossedand i'll post my experiences when everything is done.

I got my screen on Thursday, barely took 24 hours for it to get here, not too bad. I got the same box as everyone else, no packaging, just the screen's box sliding around inside, which could be better. The screen is great, but the driver cd is a pos, again, like a lot of other people have said. I used the drivers from earlier in the thread and it works like a charm. I did the 4 point calibration, but I would like to do a more in depth calibration, i just don't know where to find that option. I also didn't get the 12V adapter with mine... not sure why, but maybe I'll send them an email about it. No biggie either way. I'll just say that I'm very pleased with the screen for the money. Oh yeah, and the 8 inch is a different layout than the one in the picture. the 8 inch screens have the buttons on the bottom.

(anyone with advice on the calibration please let me know)
What is wrong with 4 point calibration?
nothing wrong, i just read a few posts in this thread that said they had even more luck with higher point calibrations. It works just fine, I was just curious if there was anything more to gain from doing a larger calibration.

I found this site:
http://www.onvon.com/
They have a 7" @ 16:9 for $155 and a 10.4" @ 4:3 for $170, both touchscreen, seem like pretty reasonable prices.
My 2007 Yukon XL setup. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...64-5000-a.html
judging by the pictures they're the same screens. That or very very similar.
