I ran my 7" screen straight off of the battery for about 5 months - did not notice any problems, but switched to a M2ATX since(7+ months)
Is anyone running the power for the screen directly off of the battery? I have my screen powered through the carpc power supply just in case this screen is like the lilliputs and doesn't like the variable car voltages. So far it seems to be working well.

thanks
I am using the M2 as a second power supply in the dash for the TV, USB DVD, and plans for powered USB hub - so probably a bit different............... but I used the 12V from the P4 connector(J2 on the M2 ATX) - connector removed

I spliced a cigar lighter socket into the 12 volt line of a male molex connection. So all of the screen pieces are still original. Works out well

before i start taking this apart are there any instructions to have an automatic power on like the lilliput does?
Not sure about the Lilliput but this screen automatically comes on when it detects a source such as the pc. If the source is turned off then the screen goes off.
