Yes, its a 9" panel.Isn't the Sharp LM64C149 a 9" Panel?
And today I have ordered a 10.4" Samsung Panel Touchscreen from onVon.com The price seems to be very low and their support is awesome comparing to gooddeals18/chinavasion.
I will provide you a good review after I received their Samsung Panel as I already have a non-samsung 10.4" monitor.
I have received a 10.4" Samsung panel LCD Monitor today from ONvon.com
Its brand new and comparing to my previous Non-samsung Panel monitor from Chinavasion, this new one is a steal for that money. Here is my quick review:
Picture clarity: 8/10 for Samsung and 7/10 non-samsung
Color reproduction: 9/10 for Samsung and 6/10 fo non
Brightness: 8/10 for samsung 5/10 for non-samsung
Product quality: 10/10 for onvon 2/10 for chinavasion.
I highly recommend you to buy atleast a Samsung or better Panel Touchscreen monitor. My old 10.4 chinavasion monitor is in waste box now. It cant come close to this samsung panel and I am going to use only this new monitor in my car. The protection films are installed well and the stand fits perfectly. It doesn't look like a china product at all.
I highly recommend the guy onvon who is here in this thread. Never buy this monitor from chinavasion. I dont know about gooddeals18 as I have no experience with them.
Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with onvon (infact this is my first order), but I am a gold member of chinavasion(almost 90% of my car fittings are from them only). Please dont take my post offense. Its just a personal review about a same product from two suppliers(not even manufacturers).
hey...just recieved a 12" touch screen from onvon ... replacing a 10" xenarc
that lasted a little over a year befor it gave up the ghost.
this monitor worked right out of the box. was packaged well and survived the 4 day trip from china without a scratch.Picture is execelent even comparded to the now decesed xenarc.touch screen workes well with included drivers and driver install was a breeze...
the case is made of a good plastic but nowhere near the quality of the aluminum xenarc but at $240 shipped compared to the $650 to $700 i paid for the xenarc , bet i can live with that. The xenarc used to get pretty hot (backlight balasts?), this screen runs cold (led backlights?).
Anyway im pleased and glad i dropped by this thread.
okay question related to the blue and pink connectors coming out of the screen itself, the blue wire and pink wire keep coming undone, like they are just placed into the screen, is there anyway to reinforce these so they stop coming out?
Hey all. Great thread. I'm about to drop for the OnVon 10.4"-- though does anyone have good pictures, or more importantly, measurements of the guts inside? I.e.: any part of the circuit board that extends beyond the known screen size? Trying to make the screen flush 'n all.
Could use some help if anybody has a 10.4 taken apart, and is willing to test a couple components!
Anybody who makes significantly more money than you do.
The Hoe-Puter Worklog
Progress (Phase one):
So somebody mentioned on like page 39ish that if you unplug those orange wires from the speaker the screen wont work?
So me being awesome I did that, but I havent tried powering it back up yet.
Should I connect the 2 wires together and be fine or am I just screwed!
I haven't tried it, but I think you should be good without the speaker connections.
I suggest that you should never interconnect the two wires going to the speaker. Either connect it to speakers as it was or just don't connect them anywhere.
The story might be different is there are more than 2 wires involved? Please post your findings
