    buy Lilliput GL701?

I can get my hands on a Lilliput GL701.
radio has a problem that it wont go louder than 1 (might me possible to replace the button i dont know)

anyways its about 200 euro's. i have read allot about the display sucking balls but it a nice solution no to destroy my dashboard.

All in all do you think 200 is a good price for this display? or just keep away from it on any price. Thanks

Honestly - I would say don't buy one for any price..
I have one and your right, the display sucks big time - I have seen mirrors less reflective than this thing!
That and the fact that its build quality is absolute rubbish... the only good thing I can say about it is that my replacement screen from Lilliput has not failed (yet..) been going for 5 months now! I think thats quite an achievement for a Lilli

Hehe, ok well if you do get it here is some advice:
    - Keep the lilli below a volume of around 31.. it hisses like a ***** anything over that.
    - Don't let any force touch the screen or have it pressing against anything - the motor gears are weak!
    - Make sure you have a good ground, its very prone to interference
    - Try to position the unit out of direct light, as the screen is VERY reflective
    - If you have a wobbly/waving picture then play with the barrel connector (connects the unit to the RCA, VGA etc..) they are not a good fit and need to fiddling to get a decent picture.

You asked for opinions, yet you ignore the opinion you got. hmmmm.

Well I say no aswell. 175E is on the cheap side of things, but when it has a problem like that, the value goes into the toilet. You can get a brand new double din for $200USD which is about equal. Second hand ebay I am sure you can find one that works and for the same price if you wanted motorized.

Personally I say stay away from the motorized. It is not a question of if it will fail, rather a question of when will it fail.

And then you have a piece of garbage. So if you absolutely must go single din, then get a non-motorized. Else, try and get a friend of yours that is good with fabrication to put a real screen in/

i have to agree with you, but the other options do not have a radio inside of the unit.. ill reconsider but its so appealing still knowing the unit sucks balls..

I just purchased this one as well Gl701/NP/C/T. I got it for 200$ CND Brand New (180$ US) . I was planning to get the regular lilliput EBY701 but got this for same price ( I was planning fabrication , fiberglass)

I was wondering in case the moror failed, or just found too much problems with added on opftions ( radio, tv, motor...etc) can I still take it apart like the regular EBY701 and just use the screen, or is it a little bit more tricky?

    Thanks!

Where'd you find it that cheap??
You can take it apart, but there's some work involved. You can always find replacement parts from Lilliput directly. I got some replacements for my broken gears.
