Things are not going my way... lilliput question!

So, my first attempt, I bought a Lilliput. It came in and didn't work at all, so I sent it back. I received a new one this weekend.

It worked PERFECTLY, I was very happy. so once it was installed and working perfectly, I decided to open this bad boy up.

after opening the unit, I noticed 3 wires, (power, usb, and vga, I think) So I unhooked the power, that came off easy enough, and I unhooked one of the other two wires, had 4 long metal prongs. and the last one (which could be vga or touch part) was still connected. It is a long flat serial cable, I couldn't figure out how to get it off.

so like the idiot I've become, I was messing with it, and it just fell off... (from the lcd screen) I probably pulled too hard. So it came off, and the plastic piece holding it in fell off also. so after fiddling with it for a good hour, I managed to break the little plastic piece on the controller board that held the serial cable in on that too. And I could not get the monitor to turn on, just goes white.

Whew. If you've read all that and understood it, thanks!

My question is, what the heck do I do now? I obviously am not circuit board savvy enough to mess with this some more, I have voided the warranty, and the computer repair place I call kind of laugh at me...
Any place you know might fix this? I wouldn't mind shipping it to one of you guys to fix!

I can post pictures if need be,

pictures may help, but it sounds like you may need to be on the lookout for a new controller board, which would have that connector attached, sorry for your loss dude, those ribbon connectors are delicate, usually the tiny insert lock either needs to be hinged up, or pulled out slightly to release the ribbon...
