    parkgsm: the different outcomes are a result of my error. I had the transmission axis vertically oriented on my BEFII and DBEF films, when in fact they should have been horizontal. I dont think it matters how the factory films are installed, because you are supposed to take them all out to perform the upgrade.

    Ahh. Did you have enough film to reinstall correctly? I'd be interested in seeing pics of the results, as I wasn't convinced by the other pics in this thread, and your pics were excellent.

    Good luck...

    Someone should report that as spam... interesting it got through though...the mods spend quite a bit of time deleting spam before most users ever see it.

    So let's recap..

    DBEF-E in the manual transmission axis on the film is;

    +-------------------\/--+
    | < --------------> |
    +----------------------+

    And for DBEF2 90/50

    +-----\/+
    | /\ |
    | | |
    | | |
    | | |
    | \/ |
    +------+

    Here is where I am confused..

    nobb ran "Diffuser -> DBEF2 ( == ) -> DBEF-E (==)"
    Homebrew suggested "DEF2 (||) -> DBEF2 (=) -> DBEF-E (||)"

    I am ready to cut my films (DBEF2 90/50 and DBEF-E), just not sure what to do.

    Threads pretty long, and getting hard to follow;

    I grabbed 4 sheets of DBEF P2 off ebay for a decent price today. Has anyone used P2 yet? I still need to get the BEF, ESR & ARMR from digikey.
