Thread: switching off lilliput monitor

i have done a search and found lots of threads about automatically switching on a lilliput monitor.

I want to know how to switch it off. the monitor has constant power (from a second battery) as i may want to use it when the ignition is off. however when i press the power button, it goes into standby mode (and leaves the red LED on). I know this only uese 16-20mA, but i want to switch it off.

apart from adding another switch to interupt the power is there any way of doing this?
