I have 35% + factory and it meters at 28% tint

Ambient light still projects onto my double din head unit which glare will be an issue (how large is unknown till I get a screen and what type of screen, etc)

I thought tinting the windshield was illegal except for a tiny strip at the top?

lilli's always used recycled screens as far as I know, way back when I had a few that used to have a jurasic park image burned into the screen, you only saw it on startup or disconecting the vga..., don't know about recent ones though...

2k1Toaster - That's just the windshield, I was referring to the actual windows when replying (my fault for not specifying).

turbocad6 - Thanks for that info, guess I'm going with Xenarc then.

that's not really free when you need a blessing from the pope and annoitment of the LCD by holy water in order for you to even hope nothing goes wrong installing this.

the xenarcs are brighter than the lilliput to begin with, so that is why they are more expensive. they might even have better quality touchscreens which show more reflection or less compared to others making the optically bonded results better or worse depending on brand.

can you elaborate on how you guys are shipping these?? I inquired and all I got was "go buy one, you'll be put in line"... if I buy one today, when can I expect to receive my screen??

this is a fair question, and I have no intention of giving $600+ to anybody that can't tell me a delivery time frame...

Ah, ok. I didn't think you could tint the windshield!

Also, the "jurrasic park" thing was a long time ago when they used the screens from the arcade machines. There have been no recent occurances of this that I know of.

Also I cannot speak about lilliput, but if you want to take the risk to buy from China, they will usually have new screens. My screen had a manufacture date of late 2005 I believe, and I bought it early 2006, so I dont think it was used. It was also the "new" lilliput model before lilliput made its debut.

2k1toaster - you can tint your windshield... the process basically starts at your eye doctor, you complain about glare and he can write a perscription for a permit to tint... I think it has to be registered with your local police/sheriff... I do believe that you must leave a small blank spot where the inspection sticker goes - and you can't tint over the VIN plate...
