Transflectives are "Out of Stock", what to do?

in ny there used to be little white stickers that go on the windshield for this exemption that allows for tinted windshield & dark tints, there is no way for a cop to verify the sticker or the validity of the exemption... the sticker is all that's needed... these exemptions have changed now & it's a little yellow sticker, haven't got an up close & personal look at the new stickers, but I don't think there registered to the vehicle still...

I pulled the trigger... I have a brand spankin' new Xenarc Transflective on the way!!... The best part is that it will be a drop in installation to replace my existing Xenarc... it is the new 400:1 contrast, 500 nit screen... I'm stoked...

trying to figure out a way to roof mount my existing Xenarc (minus the touchscreen) for the rear seat... I'd like it to flip out of the way, but don't really know how I'll go about this yet... might just build a fix mount and avoid the vibration issues - of course taking away the tilt means there is nothing you can do about the glare... hmm...

This might answer your question:

In my opinion, the biggest difference is the touch screen.
The Xenarc uses a 5 wire, where the Lilli is a 4 wire. The Xenarc has Anti Glare coating factory, in adddition to the Anti Reflective film added during Transflective Enhancement.
Image quality is slightly better with the Xenarc,and the increased brightness is noticable.
I do have 1 EBY-701 ready to ship as well.

I've hounded Duayn with tons of questions this past month. Great customer service. Looking forward to mgithens' experience using him/them.

yeah, but you'd still have to find someone willing to tint your windshield or over-tint your other windows who would want to see your permit/prescription for tint.

when you get over the maximum tint, you just don't get a receipt... the three shops that I have dealt with in my life were all willing to go over the limit, but they all three said no warranty and no receipt to prove they were involved...

phatsack, yeah he still has a Lilli on the shelf to ship... I am pretty stoked, the cool thing is that I can do a direct comparison between the lilli and the new xenarc when we have our next carpc meetup in Denver... which is supposed to be soon!!

mgithens - Comparison between transflective lilliput and transflective Xenarc? So someone who is attending has the transflective lilliput? Or are you saying a standard lilliput?

I'll have to go look at the Denver date (anxious for pictures!). Also, when you do get it, can you take some photos? I know there are some inside the transflective thread, but this is the newer Xenarc.

Edit: Didn't see a Denver date for Sept =(

Also, I'll have to PM homebrew, but I think he said at our DC meet, that motorcity can perform the upgrade of a 7" LCD for $349. If this is true, you might want to pass that along to anyone who is not happy with their existing screen.

I'll look into this, and edit this post if it's not accurate information~

it was supposed to be a August date, but has been pushed to a Sept date... but then maybe it will be later... hopefully before the cold... I'll push for a sooner date...

anyway... Namaaf (spelling) has the Lilli trans... so I will be anxious to see the difference between them...
