    Want my "beep" back...

Hi guy's, I've searched the forums and almost everybody wants to get rid of the beep when the touchscreen is pressed.

Now, I don't. I like my beep. My beep gives me confirmation if the touchscreen is pressed or not and I find it very convenient.

Only problem is: My beep is gone! I've recently added an external USB Soundblaster Extigy to my setup and now my beep is gone. It's not gone entirely but it sits in my PC instead of my speakers now and since my PC sits in the trunk for me my beep is not there anymore .

So seriously, I'm using a lilliput screen and the touchkit software. It seems as if the software thinks there is no soundcard/speakers attached anymore to the PC and it simply play's the beep through the PC speaker. Do any of you know a way to get it back on my speakers through the external Extigy soundcard?

Help me find a way to get my beep back! I really want it back! Thnx!

You can turn on the beep in the touchkit coontrol panel, I believe.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Maybe I was a little too melodramatic in the first post an not clear enough? Could it be?

I know the beep can be turned on in the touchkit software. It is turned on for over a year now.

Everything worked fine for me as long as I used my on board via soundchip. The beep was played trough the car speakers.

But a couple of weeks ago I replaced the on board sound with an external USB soundblaster Extigy. After I did this the beep is played trough the PC speaker as if there is no soundcard and/or speakers present on the PC.

So now I'm looking for a way to get it back to play over the speakers using this external Soundblaster. I think it is a software/settings problem and even a simple one but I can't seem to find it.

@Enforcer: thanks m8, but that's not my beep. It's someone elses! I want my own beep back!

    It's roadrunner's beep.

maybe there is a a setting in the software that says which soundcard to use, I know winamp has, and for some reason it is stuck on the old soundcard even though it isn't there.

If there is no setting, uninstall drivers and reinstall and it may do a soundcard detection again.

No, there is no setting to select another soundcard. The idea of removing and reinstalling the drivers isn't bad. Seems logical. Will give that a go (if I find the darn CD...)

My software only gives me the option for a system speaker beep. I'd imagine the same holds true for most. I have seen motherboards that will play system beep tones through the onboard sound card. That's probably what you have going on. The sound will no longer play because the motherboard isn't designed to play the system beeps out of anything but the onboard speaker and onboard soundcard.
