I don't understand the value to you and your project to know what other people want or are using...
7"
7" widescreen
8"
10.4"
If you had your way (budget and dashboard space) which size would you go for?
I can go up to 10.4" in my car however I'm reconsidering it, it may be a bit too much.
So i'm looking at the 7" wide screen Lilliput instead.
but i think it's too small.
so in between is a 8"
7", the only reason was finantial: LCD TV was available in that size at that time in our country without fuss.
I have a 10.4 and can't image having anything smaller.
That's rather flawed logic really. Price you can mitigate (saving or a deal), but without changing cars you can't get more dashboard space.
Hell, if the dashboard wasn't the problem i'd want a 30" display in there. You have to be realistic though based on your constraints regardless of if they are monetary or physical.
There are plenty of people that use 7's, plenty that use 8's, and more than a few that use 10+. If you think 10 is too much, but 7 is too little, then you've already answered that 8 is what you will probably be happiest with.

well correct, my dash is able to take a 10.4", considering a 10.4" is nearly the same price of a 7" widescreen, i think a 10.4 would be best.
ultimately would b an 8" widescreen.
I am just trying to gether an idea of what most users would like to have if they had the chance.
majority goes for a 7" due to the cost and space taken in the dashboard involved.
Maybe a 12" or above option would be good![]()
Continued Worklog... Upgrades in progress:
*15.4" WXGA LED backlight touchscreen upgrade
*Custom fiberglass dash bezel
I have 2 10.4"
One for the Fiero(custom dash nearly complete) and one for the Trailblazer (gotta make that fit somehow). The Trailblazer is getting the 640x480.
