    Lilliput 629 Won't Calibrate

I was so excited today when I got my Lilliput 629GL-70NP/C/T...

I setup my PC and attached the Lilliput, I didn't attach the USB cable for the monitor. I did a fresh install of XP Pro SP2. I installed the most recent drivers for my hardware.

I noticed that the display was kind of flickering and twitching with text around the top 1/3 of the monitor. This was easily fixed by adjusting the refresh rate to the next step up (800x600, true color, 75hz). The next thing I did was to hop online and get the most recent driver I could for the touchscreen. I went to Quality Touch and downloaded ver 4.3.8.4207. I copied it to a CD and installed on the CarPC. Everything installed just fine with no hang ups or error messages. The software asked me if I wanted to do a 4 point calibration and put up a screen with an X in the bottom left corner. Try as I might I just cannot get it to stop blinking and accept my touch.

Now I know everyone starts throwing out the ol' "SEARCH" card, but I am only seeing fixes that involve voiding my warranty, like taking it apart and re-seating the overlay. I loosened up the screws on the back (not enough to break the factory seal but just loosened the screws) and tried again...nothing.

I remember reading a post a couple of days ago titled "beware of lilliputs" and I am hoping that this isn't the case with my monitor. I would think that if I can't figure it out without voiding my warranty that Armen will stand behind the products he sells.

A real quick side note is that I noticed that I can get it to recognize touch on the right side of the monitor but not the rest of it. It makes a beeping sound when I touch it but only about 2 inches into the screen. and if I double tap the screen where it beeps it will open up the clock from the sys tray. Thanks you for any help in advance.

I guess this is kind of a moot thread now, as I contacted Armen from DigitalWW and despite what people say about not being able to contact him, he got back with me first thing this week. I am just sending it in for an exchange.
