Uses for old industrial touch monitors?

I recently acquired an ELO/Tyco ET1525L-8SWA-1 touch monitor from my work (it shorts when wire is wiggled, perhaps a backlight connection issue or loss of sync from VGA cable, otherwise picture is clear and bright). Anyway, would anyone more familiar with touch screen technology know of any potential uses for such a product's guts in a car PC application? This monitor is 15", glass face, touch screen is an Intellitouch surface wave. I've seen prices for these range from reasonable to very expensive (relative to other LCD's of it's size).
I have too much time and too little aggravation in my life, so I built a carPC. ;)

If it shorts when wiggled, the vibrations in a car would murder it. You would have remedy the problem. Otherwise I would say use it to make an outdoor jukebox..
