Streetpower has already ordered his and will let us know when/if it fist. I took the liberty of dissassembling my dscustoms screen and i am 99% posivine that the overlay will fit and i can route the cable to the controller if not fit the controller in the casing. Checkout my phopo album(in sig), the indash LCD has some pics of the screen ripped apart.

I will let you guys know, it is supposed to be in tomorrow and I am taking my screen apart tonight to speed things up. If eveything goes thanks to gurugod I should have a pretty inexpensive touchscreen setup.

    Ill keep you all informed..

Alright Got my touchscreen stuff in today, looks like it will fit the only problem is the touchscreen cable that goes to the controller is actually going out of the right of the touchscreen. So finding a place to tuck it and extend it somehow is going to be a task. The overlay itself is pretty thick glass, seems to fit under the plastic cover fine but I havent actually screwed everything back together yet. I need to find a way to secure the touchscreen so it dosent slide around, the controller as you can see is fairly small so it shouldnt be a problem to locate it somewhere just not sure where yet. I will keep you guys updated on the progress, some pictures are below on what everything looks like. Overall if I can figure out how to give it some power I think this will work perfectly...

Excellent!! Thanks for the pics and the updates. Let us know when you get it all tucked in there. As far as a possible group buy is concerned, I have decided that because there is no bulk discount that I will NOT be diong this purchase group style. All the info on part numbers is posted above. Head out to the reptron electroncs site to find a local distributer and happy touching, er wiat. Let me know if you have any troubles> i will hopefully be ordering mine soon and will post pics of the install for you all.

I would say its almost 2 in long, I played around a bit more tonight and well its going to be a realllly tight fit if I can get it together. The touchscreen controller i plan on mounting angled on the back of the sliding mechanism for the lcd unit itself. That way it follows it, its just a matter of finding a way to extend the actually touchscreen cable. I took off the silver frame that goes around the lcd itself and that helped fit things in but im still shy about 2mm most likely im going to shave down some of the screw placements around the edges to give me a little more room. Ill keep you all updated as progress goes.

Excellent, i am anxious to hear how it goes. Is the fitting the controller going to be a problem or is there enough room in the casing?

Well if you take off the top cover of the actually housing (the din unit itself) and look behind the sliding mechanism there is a lip there. If I place it there at an angle going up it fits fine, getting it mounted there is the question. Im going to start with just some silicon and see how it holds up. However it does have to be mounted pretty perfect as there is not a whole lot of room back there. Right now im trying to find a mail 4 pin berg connector cable to extend the actuallly touchscreen overlay's cable back there, as it is too short right now.
