Just got my LCD and broke the mount

Help,

I've just joined this forum after a buddy was telling me that he put a PC in his car. I thought Wow I have over a dozen PC's in my house and none in the car. I decided I need to fix that. So I searched the net and found mp3car. I called and spoke with Adam and he recommended the C7 2.0 "beginner" kit so I ordered that. I then bought a 700tsv LCD and recieved that today. Still waiting on the PC hopefully Monday. I went to mount the monitor and broke the silver looking screw off the end of the mount.

The monitor is fine, but the piece that screws into the end of the base then slides into the monitor is broke. So finally to get to my question does anyone have 1 or 2 extra monitor stands that they want to sell?? I'm located in Bel Air, Maryland. I can paypal the money to cover the part shipping and trouble.

those mounts are famous for breaking. Right off the stem right? Mine broke within a month of mounting it. You can probably hit xenarc site for a mount unless somebody here chimes in.

I would look for a different mount.

Yep broke right off at the stem. What mount are you using? Hope this doesn't mean the LCD is junk...I figured since a bunch of people were probably doing custom installs that they may be a mount or two floating around. Thanks for the FYI. Hoping a few chime in. Sounds like it might be a good idea to have a spare or find a different mount.
