IMHO, Xenarc screens are better (regardless of model year) for the simple fact they do not require regulated 12v power.
Help me decide which one to order please
what happens to a lilliput if it doesnt get its regulated 12v power then?
Cant speak for the quality of lilliput 2008 models, but earlier versions were not up to the quality of Xenarc. More issues but perhaps that has changed. For power just pull a 12v from your power supply if it supports regulated power, your computer will need regulated 12v and 5v.

I would like to see a side by side comparison and review. Would this be possible moderators?
dont waste your money on lilliput.. Always remember you get what you pay for.
regulated vs. unregulated doesnt matter at all. It comes with an "egg" to regulated it already. For free. So you just have one little external box that is about 1"x1"x0.5" with 2 wires in and 2 wires out. That simple.
And if you look in the 3M thread where we tried DIY transflective solutions, the innards of a Xenarc and Lilliput are almost identical.
Lilliput sometimes uses refurbished LCD panels. I think that is really the only difference.
And if you are buying a new screen the options are not brand but technology. Transflective or not transflective. 400nit vs. 500nit is really not that big of a deal. You wont be able to see it in the daytime no matter what.
