    Xenarc MDT-7000 anti-theft

    Hi,
    I'm in the market for a Xenarc MDT-7000 in-dash monitor. I just wanted to know if there are any security features that would make it difficult to steal from my car. Most expensive decks allow you to take the faceplate's off. Does the xenarc offer something simmilar?

    Best bet is to get a flip screen, or attach a custom slide back panel that hides the screen.
    Either way, if they want it, they got it.

    I did see a commercial once where they had a monkey with a crowbar. That was effective. Car smelled like chimp tho...

    That and the poo they fling can stain your upholstery.


    For security, your best bet is a molded-in OEM-appearing screen that is attached securely to something OTHER than the bezel.
