I have a Xenarc 700TS with a serial cable. Is there a way to use the newer USB cable, so I no longer have to use a serial to USB converter? I have it hooked up to my serial port-less laptop and have never had the converter work smoothly.

I searched around the forums and could not find any real definative answers.

Is there different internal hardware in the USB versions of the screen? Or can I just plug in a USB version harness and do the nasty?
