BMW E36 Lilliput install with Bezel

I am just starting my project to install the lilliput with the the bezel from the store here, but I could not find any really good DIYs out there.

Anyone have anything that will help me with my install?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ross.

I have done the same aas you are looking to do, lilliput with the Bezel that MP3 are selling (it's actually made by a user on here called SrCsTc). In fact the pictures on his website are of my install.

If you pop over to my website (link in sig) you can see some pictures, also I have started a tutorial on BMW-carputers.com (link also in sig).

    Your car was my inspiration

I signed up for your website and will check it out soon.

Now I just need to come up with the money to buy it all.

    Volume Control

I've seen your install too Enforcer. Looks very nice.

Related to Ross's question: has anyone tried to add a volume control to the E36 bezel? Going totally touchscreen has some drawbacks in my experience, one of them being lack of tactile controls.

Not sure about anyone else, but I haven't and am not planning on doing so.

There really isn't enough room around the outside to do it in such a way that would be aesthetically pleasing.

The E46 version as some nice real estate down the sides where push buttons and a knob (oo er missus) could be placed. But the E36 doesn't.

Currently my HU is in the glove but I intend bringing the faceplate out and putting it where the buttons are just in front of the Gear stick to give me more access to it's functions. But that is one for the future.

    Good luck with your install.
