    Angry Xenarc MDT-X7000 BackOrder RANT

    Has anyone here ordered the MDT-X7000 after jan 1st and get slapped on the backorder list? I ordered mine jan 5th and havent gotten it yet. I call xenarc every 2 weeks to get an update and they keep pushing it back more and more. Now its on backorder until the end of march and who knows how much longer.. Xenarc even removed it from xenarcdirect. What the heck!?

    Xenarc needs to get its act together soon...

    Sorry to say this is normal for most manufacturers of car LCDs. They run a lot, sell it then move on to another product on the line. Specially indash units.

    that's no excuse.

    the whole point of Xenarc is that it's supposed to be the highest quality.

    to me, quality is in the product and in the service.

    If they can't deliver their product in a timely manner, then how are they better than lilliput?

    this is very disappointing to hear as I was just thinking of upgrading my lilliput to something by them, or at least the newer, brighter lilliputs.

    Thats not the problem.. The problem is that Xenarc cant even give an estimated date of release.... They say one thing and then say another a week later...

As many of you know, this unit has been in the works for many years now, and after the much anticipated release of the unit late last year, many quality issues were found due to the complicated and feature-rich nature of the product and needed to be dealt with. Xenarc Technologies has built its reputation as a high quality manufacturer of VGA LCD products and customer service provider, and we will continue to do so with the MDT-X7000, which is why we want to insure that the major issues with the unit are resolved when we re-release the item in late March. Our track record speaks for itself with the continued high quality of product and service in our 700 series, 800 series, 840 series, and 1020 series product lines. We intend to extend this track record to the MDT-X7000. Unfortunately for now, that means a continued back order until we can rectify the issues in production and in development with the unit.

    To those that have already ordered the unit and are on the backorder list, we will offer full refunds to you if you do not wish to wait any longer for the unit. We apologize to those who have lost confidence in the Xenarc brandname, and we ask that you remember our ongoing history of providing high quality products and services, and that this history is part of the reason for the delay in the re-release of the MDT-X7000, as we continue to strive to put high quality products out on the market.     I completely understand the need to address the issues. Im grateful Xenarc even acknowledged the issues. Now that Xenarc has acctually made a statement about a re-release date I am satisfied. Its just annoying knowing that $800 is hanging in limbo and i could never get an acctual date.. Hopefully end of march is definite. Thanks

    is my monitor defective then?

    i have already ordered and received this monitor... does that mean i have a defective unit? i did notice already that the joystick button is not straight. i havent been able to test the joystick yet and have only barely tested other parts of the unit. I havent installed it yet due to not having all the parts.
    what are my options?

    My Xenarc X7000, delivered in late December has just packed it in. Now the screen won't open.
    It is getting power, and there is also power on the accessory line.
    Anyone face this problem? If I remove and replace the accessory inline fuse, the unit lights up as if the screen is about to open, but about a second later, goes back to standby mode. (only dial lights up).
