    8" Lilli, 16x9 - How's the touchscreen?

I've heard bad things about the touchscreen function of the Lilliputs. Things like, you must use your finger nail, it's inaccurate, etc... This is why I got a Xenarc. But a few weeks into my build I decided to put a different dash in my car and I now feel a 16x9 8" would fit much better.

So, long story short, I'm wondering how the touchscreen works...

    I have a Lilli 8" widescreen...works great.
Of course, you'll want to enlarge slide bars and title bars for better accuracy, but I can't complain. I can easily slelect drop-down menu items using my finger...
It does howver have a dead pixel!

Don't about the 8" models but the Lilli 10.4" I have is fantastic and very responsive (and accurate) with touch.

is the 8" WIDESCREEN lilli one that has buttons that can be relocated? And is it possible to move them as far as a few feet away by extending the cables? Can all the same adjustments be made via the remote if the buttons were ditched all together?

i have been using the 8" lilli at least 5 hours a day for the past two weeks. I haven't had any issues with responsivness. It seems to be extremely responsive. A few keys to this are setting a good resolution (im using 848x480) and calibrating with the 9 point instead of the 4 point.

I just removed the faceplate to fab it into my dash. The buttons are soldered onto the board. Don't see any chance of moving them.

    Hope this helps...

    Hmmm.. so how about this:

Does anyone sell replacement cases for the 8" widescreen Lilli in case I want to sell it in the future? And why isn't the 8" widescreen on the Lilli website?

not sure if there are replacement cases, you could alway cut away the bondo and re-paint it to look factory...

    here is the link:

Lilliput apparently is a UK company that exports to resellers in the US
