What about a transflective enhanced Xenarc? My reason for choosing the old 629 was your transflective model.

They don't have an ETA on when their next set of monitors will be made to work at their native resolution? How about before they put them on the market as a good starting point?
I have too much time and too little aggravation in my life, so I built a carPC. ;)

i'll chime in here as one who could never get 800x480 to display without scaling on a transflective lilliput from mp3car. i ended up transplanting a xenarc controller board into it to get 800x480 to display correctly.

This sounds like the same problem of the 889's.

I personally would expect to see this in monitors by late this summer. We will post again here when we get our hands on a monitor with the new chips.
Interesting. So in other words, Lilliput themselves are confirming that it is currently impossible to display native resolution on their 7" monitors.

I wonder if this requires a total redesign of their hardware, or if it can simply be fixed with new firmware..

And that they have exposed themselves to fraudulent advertising.

Yes, after some e-mail with the Lilliput they confirm me that the monitor recognizes the native resolution as 800x600 or 640x480.

In this way I think that the monitor controller doesn't work in a good manner and resamples the image as it is 800x600 or 640x480.

I set 800x480 resolution with DTD calculator, it's displayed correctly but monitor recognizes it as 640x480. So the quality of the image is poor expecially in the horizontal direction.

the first gen 5 wire 700tsv's had the same problem. it was a bug in the chipset from what we heard.

    Here is the latest update.

Any monitors we ship after today should have the feature of using the native panel resolution of 800x480.

We might still have some older inventory, so If 800x480 is important to you, we can test your unit before we ship it at no cost. You must let us know about this when you place the order. No swapping will be available after you have placed your order. Please write in the order notes "please confirm 800x480 mode before shipping" . After June 1st, all units will be 800x480 and no testing will be required.

So everyone that bought an 800x480 monitor in the past and didn't get one are screwed? I sure as hell won't be buying another.
