seems I have the same problem here too! Is there any way around it other than having to buy a new screen? Has anyone got one of the "new" 629 screens off the online store that accepts 800x480?

I don't think Liliput has put out one yet that properly supports 800x480. I just bought a new 889 a couple of months ago because my first one was flaking out. I even requested from MP3Car in the purchase I wanted one that supported 800x480 like they said to do. And the one I got still won't display 800x480 correctly.

Yeah, it really doesn't make any sense why Lilliput can't do this. 800x480 isn't even an uncommon resolution these days either. I also have the 629 and have given up trying to make it work. If Xenarc can do it, Lilliput should be able to as well.

Any monitors we ship after today should have the feature of using the native panel resolution of 800x480.

We might still have some older inventory, so If 800x480 is important to you, we can test your unit before we ship it at no cost. You must let us know about this when you place the order. No swapping will be available after you have placed your order. Please write in the order notes "please confirm 800x480 mode before shipping" . After June 1st, all units will be 800x480 and no testing will be required.
so can anyone back up this info? surely there is heaps of people who have got one of these since this time last year??

Which raises the question - why keep buying Lilliput monitors if Xenarc makes one that works properly?

Apparently because when it comes to daylight readable/transflective screens, the only screens anyone can buy to do the procedure to are lilliputs.

This is why I'm currently looking into industrial touchscreen monitors for my car. Tired of jerking around with these 7 inch screens to basically the same effect. If I'm gonna be given the run around on something it might as well be because there's no storefront for them. Haha.
