do you think the saw touchscreen is worth $185 more than the resistive?
I got a quote from these guys http://attro.com/display/TSR-3084.htm on an 8.4" industrial grade transflective LCD with SAW touchscreen.
TSR-3084AT/S-OF 8.4" Transflective Sunlight Readable Display with S-Video Composite Input, ELO SAW Touchscreen, Open Frame Type without front enclosure $935
Not a bad price at all for a true 800x600 1200 nit display.
They also sell a resistive TS version
TSR-3084AT/R-OF 8.4" Transflective Sunlight Readable Display with S-Video Composite Input, ELO Resistive Touchscreen, Open Frame Type without front enclosure $750
do you think the saw touchscreen is worth $185 more than the resistive?
TruckPC - gutted, being used for test setup
BoatPC - off season - Inelmac screen needs serviced again!
BlazerPC - last vehicle PC I'll build
I depends if you mind using your fingernail or a stylus or just your finger.
SAW reacts to any touch and doesn't require a sharp point. You could even use it while wearing gloves.
i think the true advantage is the ruggedness, and the 1200nit brightness.
but no vga...?
