Thread: Xenarc 700TSV, 800x480, black bars on top and bottom. Any other powerstrip configs?

Well I can get 7 something by 480 or 852x480 but nothing in between. The horizontal lines look fine on that checkerboard image but the vertical lines are still a mess. How are you determining what powerstrip values need to be changed or are you guys simply changing numbers randomly?

Very randomly. I can only hope my config is not damaging the display

    Problem: Xenarc700TSV (2008) + SIS662 (Intel D201GLY2A) = no native resolution

According to Xenarc I should check with powerstrip guys to see if they support my chipset.
Powerstrip does not support custom resolutions on SIS chipsets. (Custom resolution button is disabled)
However the SIS VGA utility allows me to switch to 800x480, which has an incorrect size and position on the display. Not to mention, the LCD reports it as 640x480. Playing with custom timings in powerstrip I managed to resize it to almost fit my screen, but the screen became unstable. There are too many variables and I don't like shooting in the dark.
So if anyone with the same hardware setup managed to fix this, I'd need the exact settings they used in PS.
    Thanks
