I also have the Bybyte frame, and everything fits together really well. It definitely seems like the frame is taller than the standard double din size, but in my case it is ok. The bottom part of the frame sits behind the plastic of my dashboard, but the entire screen is still visible.
Is it possible to share the display make and model.

I did not mean this. The LCD module make and model once you have opened the casing. Is it Hitachi or Sharp or some other make and the model number. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for my english, I write from Italy. I have received the kit from bybyte today. I have an old 629GL (perhaps 2005):

    1) The model is 629GL-70NP/C/T
    2) The LCD Panel is Hitachi TX18D11VM1CAA
    3) The main board has 2 labels on it 05-07-15 (the date ?) and 629DC2

It will not fit. The panel is a couple of millimeters tall and the mainboard doesn't have the holes for screws allined with the frame.
In the bybyte advertisement, it is written than the frame is for the new model (2008) of EB701 and for the 629GL. I think they have to specify better that also the 629GL MUST BE the new model! As result, I broken my flat cable and now I have a monitor just for the trash!
As I can I will post some pictures of the components.

I have the same 2008 model. I bought a plastic one and had to cut it up as well as it doesn't quite fit like bybyte says it does. It also doesn't fit into a double din like they said. I cut my metra kit up and made a puzzle out of the whole thing then glued into place. Then I bondo'd the whole thing to make it look like one piece. Now it looks 10 times better than it would have if it were all plug -n- play so I'm glad i did it. I'll post a pic when I'm done.
